SHARING SPACE

SHIFT are offering short term R&D residencies for artists or small artist groups each month. The residency period each month will be between 4-10 days. SHIFT are looking for artists that work predominantly within experimental performance, sound, installation & moving image.

SHIFT cannot offer financial support, but what we can & will offer as part of a residency is free space, technical, curatorial & peer to peer support as well as audience engagement within a shared supportive environment.

SHIFT would like to encourage applications from artists who identify as LGBTQIA+, as working class, part of the Global Majority (by this we mean African Caribbean, South Asian, Southeast Asian, East Asian, Middle Eastern, Arabic Diasporas, as well as Indigenous communities) or other marginalised groups to apply.

We recognise that identities can intersect, or cross over, and welcome this.

If you are interested in being involved please get in touch to start a conversation. shiftcardiff@gmail.com

SHIFT’S use of space at the Capitol centre is supported by https://www.axisweb.org vacant space project.
