Evelyn Wolstenholme joins the SHIFT residents this month for a short residency. Evelyn will have access to studio space, technical, curatorial & peer to peer support as well as audience engagement within SHIFT’s shared supportive environment.
Born and raised in Manchester, Evelyn Wolstenholme is an interdisciplinary conceptual artist who lives and works as a practicing artist in South Wales.
Evelyn’s work centralises upon the space of the domestic ‘Home’, and the objects and automative performances that come and go within it. Looking through a phenomenological and anthropological lens, the artist examines the notion of loss and grief through our relationships to objects and the role they play in identity once the physical body is no longer present.
