FIST INSIDE THE VELVET GLOVE

WANDERERS’ LIBRARY – MORGAN ARCADE – CARDIFF

SHIFT TTF will be broadcasting from FIST INSIDE THE VELVET GLOVE

Thursday 15 – Saturday 17 October 2026

As part of tactileBOSCH’s 25th anniversary programme, Fist Inside the Velvet Glove, we’re taking over the upper floors of The Morgan Arcade for three days of live performance, installation, cinema, sound, radio, walking and archival encounters.

Once home to Cardiff’s first public library, these upper floors now sit largely hidden above one of the city’s most familiar shopping arcades. For three days, Wanderers’ Library opens up this unusual and atmospheric space, bringing together artists whose practices move across music, performance, sound, installation and time-based work.

The space itself becomes part of the experience – a place to explore, pause, listen and discover. Across the three days, audiences will encounter live works, performative walks, sound and radio, alongside continuous installations and the tB25 Archive, bringing fragments of tactileBOSCH’s 25-year history into this newly activated space.

Tape A Chance On Me #11

Tape A Chance On Me seeks to play only music not released on any other physical format, tapes that were released into the wild in the knowledge that almost no-one will hear them.  This wilful sense of creative self-sabotage appeals greatly to me, and if you’re reading this it probably appeals to you too.

Diogenes Tubb is Paul White, a disability-rights ranter living in Cathays.  If you have some music that hasn’t been released on any other physical format and you’d like me to consider it for the show, send it to me at. Feedback always welcome to londoninflamesATgmailDOTcom
